Building Movements Through Networking in the Rio Grande Valley
The Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Network is a partnership supported by the Marguerite Casey Foundation. The Foundation hopes that by providing its grantees with an opportunity to build relationships with one another, its grantees will increase their capacity to mobilize the low‐income families and individuals that they serve around advocating for social change. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the network of Marguerite Casey Foundation grantees in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas has developed, to identify its primary goals, and to determine how the Network functions. This study also draws on the tools of social network analysis to map the Network’s structure by uncovering the patterns of relationships that exist between organizations in the Network.
