Freeman A. Hrabowski III, has been named one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World in 2012” by Time magazine. Hrabowski is president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Marguerite Casey Foundation.

Time magazine honors Hrabowski for “turning a humble commuter school into one of the nation’s leading sources of African Americans who get Ph.D.s in science and engineering.”
