Based in Selma, Alabama, Foot Soldiers Park (FSP) preserves and memorializes the rich civil rights history of the city and aims to enhance efforts at local economic and cultural revitalization. FSP works to prepare the next generation of activists to continue the fight against racial injustice and voter suppression.
Foot Soldiers Park will experiment with the creation of new partnership models that enable communities and government to work together toward an inclusive and just economy in support of a dynamic national initiative called Partnership for Equitable and Resilient Communities, whose implementation in Selma is organized by the mayor’s office.
