Xylina graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016 with a BA in communication. While attending UNC, Xylina played on the women’s basketball team (2012–2016), earning numerous awards and honors, but due to injuries, she retired shortly after. Prior to joining the Marguerite Casey Foundation, Xylina worked for two school districts and the Washington Department of Public Health.
